Shannon-Leigh Ashworth

Utilising research from my written essay, which considered the work of Virgil Ablo and MSCFH, I have been exploring the ideas of “neostalgia” by reflecting on personal and childhood experience, whilst exploring my love of Barbie, Alice in Wonderland and Sesame Street, and developing this through textile and fashion thinking. For the exhibition, I have produced concepts bringing together personal slogans and screen-printed text on a satin-look cloth as a feminist gesture.
