Chloe Stannett

The themes featured in this series of works relate to unspoken, personal momentary thoughts and longstanding feelings. These themes are conveyed through monoprint and crochet tapestry pieces, the relationship between these subjects and the way that they take form through traditional practices makes them inherently neostalgic as the current and fleeting inspirations are locked in place by way of classic methods. The works are unsuspecting and at times cryptic, left open to interpretation and so it is even possible for the viewer to insert their own relation and meaning to the piece.
